Don Chapin

Lead Pastor

Originally from Southeastern Michigan, Don went to college in Cedarville, Ohio, where he met Laurie. They were married and served for two years in a church near Akron, OH. They moved to Michigan, and he was the Student Ministries Pastor at a church in Flint for 10 years. During that time he earned his Masters of Ministry from Baptist Bible Seminary (Clarks Summit, PA). During that time, their family grew too; they have four boys. Don began his ministry at Solid Rock in January of 2013. Don is a Certified Biblical Counselor with ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors). He enjoys spending time with his family, drinking coffee, playing guitar, and wilderness camping.

Zach San Miguel

Pastor

Born and raised in Mid-Michigan, Zach graduated from Alma College, which is also where he met Kristi. They were married in 2011 and joined a church in Brighton, MI where they served together for 3 1/2 years until Zach was asked to join the staff as a Small Group Pastor. They served there for another 3 1/2 years in that role. During that time, Zach completed a church planters residency and grew in his love for and knowledge of the Lord. Zach, Kristi, and their two daughters joined Solid Rock in September 2019. In his free time, Zach enjoys family outings, golfing, reading, and video games.

Ron Plant

Worship Coordinator

Growing up in Burton, Ron met his wife Penny while in high school and they have one adult son. Ron is a talented musician both vocally and instrumentally. He plans and organizes the music for worship services as well as coordinates the band members and other vocalists. Ron very much enjoys volunteering his time and energy in this ministry. In addition to the piano, Ron has played the accordion since he was a child.
