There are many different ways to get connected at Solid Rock
Kids
At Solid Rock, kids are important to us. That is why half of our building is dedicated to them. Kids can learn about God in a fun and exciting way in our KidsTown ministry. Staffed with loving and committed volunteers, each Sunday is a memorable time of worship and learning about God. Preschool kids have there own class during the entire worship hour. Elementary children begin with the adults in our auditorium for announcements, Scripture reading, and singing then they are dismissed to their own classes for age-level teaching.
Teens
Teens meet on Wednesday evenings in our Teen Building for lessons specifically designed for them. They also have events and activities throughout the year for fun and encouragement in their faith. We have dedicated adult volunteers who are passionate about investing into the lives of teenagers. But the teens are not totally separated from the life of the church. They join us for dinner on Wednesdays and participate with us in our worship gathering on Sundays.
Family Dinner and Devotions
Join us most every Wednesday at 6 pm to share a meal with one another and to engage in a fun, enriching, and encouraging time of fellowship. We all pitch in to make the meal possible, though if it's your first time, no need to bring anything--just come! After the meal we have a time for Bible study, learning, and discussion. This is a very rewarding time and a great way to connect and engage as a church family!
Serving
We strive to have an active presence in our community. The best way we have found to do this to help out in our local school and participate in community events. We volunteer in the classroom, with special events, walk in the homecoming parade, and each year we put on a Back to School Party with hot dogs, inflatables, pop corn and every student received school supplies needed for the year!
